| Did you read about any xeniums getting banned? I read about one or two... and that was it... |
Sorry man, but that means nothing. Bans have nothing to do with what kind of modchip you have.
It can be turned off, or turned on. There is no middle of the road.
can you take off the mods and stuff so you wont get banned from xbox live?

| But anyways, the main theory is the marriage theory. It makes the most sense. But, a theory about XBL detecting what modchip you have, well, doesn't make sense. A modchip just holds a BIOS. A BIOS on one modchip, is the same as another. |
I have a friend with an Aladdin chip, it was installed about 5 months ago. I put a new 160gig hard drive in it the same day I modded it. He singed up for XBL when Halo 2 came out and he is now banned. I am not sure if the marriage theroy is correct either.

Except that it doesn't match up 100%.
The only thing that DOES make sense, is that they are doing multiple things.
My guess is that they are matching drives to Xboxes, but it seems they are also checking the C drive. I say the latter, because it is the only thing that makes sense about my friends Xbox, which was recently banned.
He put in his 200GB before I put in either of my Xboxs' latest drives, so if he was banned under the marriage theory, then it fails to explain my situation.
The only difference between our Xboxes, is the various programs on them (I have emulators, and he does not), and the location of the boot files. Both his original and his mod were booting off the C drive. My mod does not boot from C.
