i might be behind in a lot of "hidden" sort of features on the xbox than most other people but after talking to a friend from ms i was told that they check for mods through diagnostic codes. so i was like wtf, i've never heard of that before. so i did a little search on google for xbox diagnostic codes. i found that if you run the connection wizard thing and whether it fails or succeeds to connect (the thing that runs when u have connection problems) when it is done press Y on the control. a box will pop up with a bunch of variables and stuff set to the variables. now i have no clue wtf all the variables mean, but if someone knows it may or may not help diagnose the problem which many people are facing. i mean i'm sure the diagnostic codes originate from other sources so i doubt you could edit them directly or anything along those lines, but if we knew what was being sent (ie what each variable means) then it could be possible to pinpoint more accurately how they are checking and not just hoping a good enough fix is made.
-i originally found the info on how to axs the diagnostic codes through a lag article on the xbox site http://www.xbox.com/.../lagarticle.htm
