Thought I'd throw my 2 cents into this chaos.
-Version 1.4 (Green Halo Edition)
Purchased in May, 2004
-Executer 2.3B Lite (Wire Solder)
Purchased in May, 2004
-120GB Maxtor HD
-Installed dash with Slayer's Disk
-"F" larger partition
-"C" clean
-LIVE account CREATED WITH LARGER HD INSTALLED
-Never went on LIVE with stock HD
-Bought Halo 2 on launch and did update
I have been playing LIVE with no problems

Same here. Bought my 1.4 box back in March. Registered my live account after upgrade. Even just signed up for a new account last night!
Got a 2.3b lite plus installed.
The only difference is that I have NOT turned my chip on since the banning started... So maybe they have something running that detects it and then reports after you turn it back off to play live..

Hey Maximus,
Have you been able to leave XBL/Halo 2, switch on your chip, mess around with stuff (FTP, play back-ups, linux, whatever), and then switch it off and come back to XBL/Halo2 without issues?
Just curious.

Yup, I have had no problem with that either.....

I'm using a version 1.0 Xbox w/120GB WD hard drive and 256k cheapmod w/switch. Been using it on Xbox Live for almost 2 years with no problems. I've played tons of Halo 2 in the past week and everything is working perfectly.

Is it safe to get on live with a modded xbox & larger hd if you have never signed up for live as of now?????
Xbox 1.0
xecuter2.6 with xapter

Same here. Got Live after upgrading the hard drive almost two years ago. Been playing halo 2 on live since the day it came out. Turned chip off several times to run back-ups, turned chip back on with no problems. I have been on live several times after having turned the chip on and off. My set up is as follows:
VER 1.0 Xbox
Executer 2.0 lite
Evox (very early version still...if its not broke, dont fix it
)
120GB hard drive (installed BEFORE I went on live)
On/off chip switch
-
are you using a external switch to turn off the mod, or are you using the power and eject option?
-
External on/off switch
-
same here; 1.0 tsop w/ switch.

We should make this a feedback thread!
Here's my setup:
Xbox 1.1 with Xenium (blue) installed via Pin Headers (if that matters)
120GB Seagate 7200RPM Locked Hard Drive (locked via Xenium OS2.0.1)
The hard drive was upgraded before signing up for Xbox Live (2 month subscription), and I was playing last night and today. Nothing has happened so far.

I have had my xbox seen april 02 and it was made in oct 01. I installed my Mod chip in jan 03 but didn't upgrade the HD till 2 weeks ago because I was burning the slayers disc wrong. When I made the Xiso it had a file within a file so it took 5 dvds and 5 cd-rws to figure out my noob mistake. Well I don't have a live acount right now but I think I can sign up and just turn off my Xecuter 2.3 pro and I should be fine. I did install evox to the F drive so I think I am ok there. Its just that I see some log type files in the game save drive (E) so I think I can just delete those files. I don't believe in all that lcp stuff, I think people get ban because they use a diff HD than when they first signed on. It must be very funny to work for micro$oft and see people come up with all this cazy stuff. Why would MS want to lose more money on xbox with lcp port scanning stuff. I don't think they thought it would be used for a mod chip anyways. Sorry its a little long. and just to think we owe this online gaming to Al Gore because he help to create the internet.
Al Gore
well I'm really with Bush.
