here is what i'm going to do. i'm going to use the recommended solution. new eeprom and hdd. sounds expensive? naw. not as long as its "matching" that they are scanning.
i have 2 xbox's. one modified (and banned) and one not. and a pc with an 80 gig.
i'll buy a new 200gb drive and 2 eeproms.
i'll install the new 200gb drive and 1 eeprom into the modified box.
i'll then chip the unmodified xbox, back up the eeprom, then install the second the bought eeprom and 80 gig drive from the pc into that box.
i'll store the "back up" eeprom and the stock drive in case of another ban.
i'll put the old 200 gig drive into the pc.
and then i think i would have justified the cost of 2 eeproms, because i would have bought the drive for the pc eventually
