QUOTE (degull @ Jan 15 2004, 12:04 AM)
I have a dead xbox, red and green light flashing.  I think the eeprom is screwed.  Is there a way to remove the eeprom and flash it?  I haven't found any info on it.

http://www.xbox-scen...m/tutorials.php

It's there.

To "DEGULL" i doubt if you have eeprom problems, probably bios or HD issues!

I hooked up a good hard drive from a good xbox and it was doing the same thing, powers up with green light, turns off, powers again with green, turns off, then finally stays on with flashing red/green light.   I'm not sure that I can just swap hard drives because the info on the eeprom will not match.  Is it possible that I can lift the eeprom off the bad board and then write it with the eeprom from the good xbox (with my save eeprom dump done with evox).  Is there an external programmer I can rig to write the eeprom from the bad board? That way both boards will be the same and I test it with my known good hard drive?  This xbox has not been tampered with, meaning there was no modchip installed, so there are no lifted traces etc.

Try running the process manually through DOS to see what it is doing.
