I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this for me. I loaded up Rainbow Six (backup on HD) and created a profile different to my gamertag as I thought that otherwise, being a live aware game, it would connect to live. Unfortunately it still tried to connect to live with my gamertag after I had accepted the new profile and, although I turned off my xbox as soon as I saw this, I suspect that I will be banned. Its my own fault for trying a live aware backup for the first time with everything connected so I can't complain, but I am curious as to why it tried to connect even when I used a different name for the profile. Could it be because I haven't yet upgraded to the live 2.0 dash? Or does Rainbow Six function differently to other live aware games and connect whatever you name your profile? Any help will be appreciated. Cheers. V0ID

I loaded the game again, and no connect to Live was made. SHANBOX was automatically loaded. I could sign in Live, navigate fine, and then sign out.

I'm sure for some people this never happens but there is always the exception.

My guess is that if auto sign-in to live is set to true on your ms dash, then games will automatically log in to live using any profile it finds. It does not matter what you name your profile. Shanafan, do you have auto sign-in set to true or false?

Try enabling it and turn off your modchip. Does Rainbow Six now auto sign-in?
