No, you do not need a new account.

In Live, go into Account Recovery and recover your old account. It's that simple.

Um.. are you trying to get your account back, or using a new EEPROM? You have lost me..

Use Configmagic to flash your EEPROM with the unbanned one.

Load it, and make sure it looks proper. If there are zeros, then it's not a good EEPROM.

You sure it is not loading the zero-ed out EEPROM that comes with Configmagic?

That EEPROM is banned.. but okay.
