Title: Second Switchable Eeprom Plans
Post by: sunshine-x on October 16, 2003, 11:09:00 AM
I've built a prototype and it's working great.
I have two hard drives, and two eeproms with different info on each so I never use my original serial etc while modchip is enabled.

Awesome idea. This is probably the safest method of modding and using XBL. Where did you mount the PCB for the EEPROMs, or is it just 'floating'?

So basically you could have your original hdd with original eeprom and when switch modchip on you could switch to a large hdd with crap eeprom and there is no way to get banned at that point, even if you access live accidentally or anything. Sounds good to me.
