haha thats what i was scared of, new online games having some sort of protection or find detection shit to also ban u. i got banned, got a new unbanned eeprom, flashed it, and am now unbanned.

U CANT CHANGE THE SERIAL U HAVE TO GET A NEW EEPROM!!! and use configmagic it does it for u dont do it wrong or else your xbox could be toast!!!

could you mayb send me a tutorial that explains it using config magic?

And i tried my old hard drive and it tells me it cant connect do to network problems. It doest give me the modifited xbox error like my new harddrive does. What does this mean>?

 be sure to unlock your Original and new xbox before putting the new eeprom, or they wont work.

 happened to me , luckly i had the old eeprom running around my PC so i flash it again with the old one and unlocked the original.

come one people...how can he be banned if he can't even connect to Live. M$ servers are having issues right now as they are going to shut down on 14th and be back 8 hours later. Even their phone messages say so and if you log in to Live you will get a message from them about system clean up. After you modified, instead of playing game right away, turn off the chip and just log in to Live and update necessary files to your system. Turn off then log back in and shouldn't be problem. I just get off from phone with M$ and asking replacement for my communicator. Nothing unusual except asking my 12 digit system serial number. What the fuck can they find? Anyway, GR Island thunder play sweet and nice jungle drum music make me more hyper. As long as you lokced your Hdd and turn off chip, no problem so far.

hold on guys. I DID get problem today now. As always, I turn off the chip, locked the hdd then wait and see if M$ logo load up and no chip enable light on etc. Now, I got banned. It said can't connect to Live due to software/hardware modification, please read more info bla bla" SHIT! . It happen after I backup my Madden NFL 2004 then turn off everything and try to slaughter some newbies on Live and now this shit happen. The only thing I remembered was using live account from Hdd not from my memory card.
I put back the original hdd and live account wasn't found and unable to connect to Live. I will explore more as I am on my way to circuit city to read off some serial number from display xboxes. I will try to rebulit my EEPROM then relock into Live. I was wondering why the fuck M$ rep wanna read me off my serial number. SHIT...more SHIT. Anyway, do anyone know if I buy a new xbox with manufacutrer date march 2003, am I have more chances of getting samsung drive? gonn be fucking busy this weekend. SHIT!!!  

second thought...getting a new serial from a new system is morally wrong. Can anyone sell me unbanned eeprom???  Fuck...I am pissed now.

Hey changing your HD wont do shit.Its your eeprom thats banned not anything else. New eeproms dont come from new HD they come from new xboxes.

this topic should be pinned for the time being and posted as a warning on the front news page.. i was about to post the orginal poster might have accidently log on with this chip but Rahula knows his shit.. and after his post.. OMFG i just hope it was a accident that happen to both of you and not a new Dectection..

Rahula.. just buy a new eproom from sombody here for $10 no need to go get a new box or serial..   and yes please.. look into this further .. this IS some weird shit happening.. guess i wont be logging into live this month

relax...hopefully this is just an accident. Only two people had this problem and we don't know yet. Also I don't want to upset and scare off other.
Anyone playing GR IT game on Xbox Live with modded system? Of course you turn off chip, lock hdd, use original game, wait to see M$ dash load up, can play without problem etc. I know I was jeering a member that happen first then I got busted and still don't understand why the fuck happened. Your feed back will be much appreciated.

Was it an edited saved game? Sounds like a software modification to me.

Is it possible that Xbox Live would think that the saves with Action Replay are modifications to your system and not allow you to play?

Also, isn't there going to be a dashboard update soon?

Yeah. a good point, I noticed that. Now GR-IT try to log into Live automatically when you select your dossier even in single player game. This  is suck. I don't recall playing single player with chip on. There is no point of that for playing original game with modchip but never know I may have played single player with chip on then save some progress in hdd then chip off connect to Live and I got banned. This makes sense now. If all future live enable games will do auto connect then we may have a problem. Anyway, i am going to flash with another eeprom then clean out my Hdd. No live today, M$ is doing house cleaning.

I always unplug my cable if I am not transfering file or playing on live. I have my box next to my pc anyway, so it is not a big deal to me.

Yea this happened to me to last week, I turned off my modchip and put UC in my dvd tray and went into live and said I had hardware/software modifications and my modchip was off and everything. I do not have action replay or any downloaded saves.

I played GR: IT off my HD with my Chameleon disabled on XBC, works beautifully. No ban from Live yet, been about a week.

and chip off on  XBL no problems yet..
