I've read in other forums that download contents could damage your dashboard.  That's why I'm asking if it's ok to download contents with the original Games and the mod chip off.

No, downloading content for games does not damage your Xbox...

If you install or update Live for your Xbox, and EvolutionX is xboxdash.xbe (which it should not be!), that will cause easy to fix problems

How do you prevent Evolution X from being xboxdash... ?

You rename it...

I got a modded box and made a big mistake huh.gif while connecting the box to xl! (I was playing around with Ghost Recon MP and oops !)
now i'm banned & my xboxdash is overwritten (no more evox-boot) !
please, tell me whose are the steps to come out of my pain ??? What do you mean with "easy to fix problems" ?

PS: I rode a depressive comment about my situation: "then you can kiss your working [modded] XBox goodbye! (It can be fixed but it's a pain so don’t try it!)" on Xbox Live

Boot your Xbox with a EvolutionX CD and FTP over EvolutionX from your PC
