There is no way that you will be banned. I have done the same thing myself a couple of times. Once i tried to go Live and my chip was on, but luckily i had booted the evox cd a while before so my ip settings were screwed up, thus i never connected to the live server so they didn't detect the bios. Last week i purposely hit the live play button in ghost recon with my chip on and my cable unplugged to prove a point to my friend. I am still on live to this day. You will be fine. |

Don't make stupid assumptions. He may very well connect to a home network (say a hub/router) that's connect to the internet. Awwww... did you every think of that??

Obviously he had it connected to the internet. People also uses DHCPs to ftp to evox so don't assume their ip setting is automatically changed.

And you're a dumb ass if you think you can be banned with out connecting to the lan.

Perhaps he did, and read my post completely?! I used a own made crosscable and connected it to another xbox so there wasn't a connection to the internet. Like I said in my post. At home I do use a DHCP router.
no I did not have a connection. But at home I do use a DHCP router.

AirrezzZ, you can not be banned if you are not connected to the internet when you hit a Live tab. You will be fine trust me.

Well, it's kinda assumed if you know how banning on xbox live works. It's all server side (as we know now), nothing from the client.
