Somthing else that is strange.  I put my old banned eeprom back on and my account came back, but since I am banned I can't connect.

Ok I put the new unbanned eeprom back on and the account was gone again.  Does anyone know what is going one?

Just flash with new unbanned EEPROM and choose "Account Recovery" in Live to get account back onto Xbox

Hmm this sounds like the new methods of banning accounts which M$ are now linking with the banned serial, gamertags and accounts.  This is unconfirmed at present but I'm pretty sure this is M$ new line of defence....next up hd checking?!!

Try to delet every thing that got any thing with live and reinstall and using your new eeprom and try to get your acount back...

Mine was also updating but with my mod of... Now u can sign up for live in belgium and sweden and some more countries...
The update does not have anything to do with your modchip...

I have WXYZ too, and I get on Xbox Live fine.
I also get Upload/Download speeds and the version of Xbox Live at the top of the WXYZ screen.

Edit: I'll get it now and post it up.

ph34r.gif I got the update and had a v4817 xbox fboot, and it changed my 4817 codes to:
1.00.5335.01
W: 0000-0015
X:  0000-F001
Y:  00A8-4860
Z:  0000-0000
THIS IS WITH A WORKING EEPROM, and "xbox live found"
all I can suggest is make sure that u have an fboot. Also last night I had three green lights and one red on "xbox live not found" thus I couldn't get in even though I was playing for hours on end before that. The game was Capcom Vs. Snk 2 EO. I did not have to change eeproms or anything to get online the next day!!!!
I'd say keep ur modchips off and wait till someone is banned the new way to find out how M$ is detecting again!

This is the codes when I pulled out connection and xbox live is not found.

Honestly, till more info comes out, I don't see this as a new banning method. Until more people post similar issues, then we can be for sure. For now, I just assume the original poster is doing something wrong somewhere...

BTW raiders, how do you know the EEPROM you got was unbanned? And, MS has not banned accounts yet, and seriously, they never will. They want us to buy another Xbox just for Live.

BUT, if someone tried actually into Live and were somewhat successful, MS would probably link the IP with a gamertag, and may cancel their account. But playing on Live with a modded Xbox doesn't mean you are hacking into Live

What if you're playing on LIVE at your friend's, and he has a modded xbox. You are running your account from your memory card. You go on LIVE and you forget his modchip is still ON. It wouldn't be fair for you to get your account banned when you were playing on your friend's modded Xbox, so I don't think they will start banning accounts, wont they?

why would ms WANT us to buy another xbox? they lose a lot of money off of each one sold.

I was wrong. The update he referred to happens when you select "Xbox Live" from MS dashboard. This is a new update and probably sets up W code on Xbox perhaps...
