Title: Xbox Live - Japan Vs Usa?
Post by: Lanjao on December 29, 2002, 09:32:00 PM
XBOX Live in Jqpan does not start until Jan. 16, 2003.  We are still in beta testing now (or at least I was, until my box was banned).

Machine itself is multi-lingual but like you said, the community will most likely speak only Japanese (if you intend to use the voice communicator).  I am not sure if xbox live is going to be world-wide but from what I've seen, it most likely wont, at  least not for a while.  Our beta games are different and we do not have no NFL2k3 or Mech Assault.  We have Phantasy Star Online, then Whacked just came out..

XBOX sales is really bad here in Japan.  No one buys it simply because 1. it has limited games (you guys probably have twice as much games to choose from). 2. its bulky compares to other consoles and heavy as hell.  3. its MS, which is not known in the console scene here.
