well this would take some heavy dissassembling of the protocol, but it get what you're saying.

real suggestion to modders: (dont take these as flames... im just trying to stick to the point) yeah guys i know that the easiest way is to not be a moron and just turn it off for live. but mistakes will be made, and i think these could help prevent that if possible? just tryin to help
1) pushdown switches. have the mod OFF by default, and to start it with the mod ON you hold down the switch while the xbox is powering on.
2) is there any way to block the ethernet port while playing a game thru the bios or modchip while its on? this would of course be optional, and only happen during the game if possible so ftp and all that evox stuff still works, and you could turn it off to play system link etc.
3) maybe display a warning when someone inserts a known XBOX LIVE game to remind them what will happen when they play with it..
4) autolaunch off by default (is it already? sorry bout this one if it is)

well heres the problem.. the switch is easy to forget about. the only pushdown switch ive seen is to DISABLE ur chip.. id like to see one to ENABLE it so its off by default. that way if u dont know wut ur doin and dont know nethin about the chip (say ur usin someone elses xbox) u wont get them banned becuz ud never have turned the chip on.
n about idea2... when u do have ur chip on u usually wanna use ftp features.. the powerhouse of the whole modchip scene.. which would mean not unplugging ur broadband. and still, this is easy enough to forget about..

Wel i think.
with the new mod xecuter2. or the bioxx like me self.
if you wanna play online you need an original disk when you boot the original disk just push the eject button the xbox powers on the tray opens you put in the game en the game starts without mod.
if someone else is borowing your xbox (i dont borrow my xbox to anyone) then you have to tell them.
and if someone is playing in your house with your xbox just unplug the network then they cant make any mistake's.
i know an accident is in a little corner but hey it can happen alway even if you reverse the switch.

as simple a response as that is.. the problem is u can FORGET
also, i live with my dad. if my brothers come from my moms when im not here, n play my xbox, theres no doubt they'll just plug the cable back in and try to play. and a reverse switch would be much harder to start with accidently as you would have to hold it to while powering up, which is much harder to "accidently" do then leaving a switch on.
the best solution would be blocking the ethernet port but i dont know if this is possible :/
