I heard that you shouldn't even access the MS dash from EvoX dash with the mod on. But, I heard it that is.

Yes, to run the original onboard BIOS, you need to have the HD locked. Running EvoX from a CD is a good method

You have to create a bootable floppy to lock the HD.
