Title: My Friend Wants His Xbox Back And
Post by: xdrei on December 07, 2002, 11:22:00 PM
If I figure out how to copy his eeprom onto my banned xbox i can play on live right??  I just basically have a couple of questions:

1)  How easy is it to use eeprom.04?  Is it almost self explanatory?
2)  When people say flash the eeprom, what does it mean?  can i just do it through a cd?  Or is it like flashing a modchip?
3)  Is there any specific place where i can find the program?
4)  I can't find a tutorial to decide for myself if it's worth using eeprom.04 i guess it's called.

Here's my situation, i got banned on my xbox so i traded with a friend that doesn't and wont use live.  Now his little bros are complaining that my xbox freezes too much so they want their xbox back, and his mom is kinda upset.  Can i copy the eeprom and be all set?

You traded and gave him your modded Xbox and you got his virgin Xbox?

You can not get the eeprom unless the system is modded and if it is modded just do tha backup in evox and grab tha backup folder

well his system was modded, but i took out his enigmah.  I'm pretty sure i can put it back though cause i did extensive work in trying to fix my homebrew chip.  So what do i grab with evox exactly?  an eeprom folder?  and then i just delete the same thing on mine and use his?  what do i have to backup exactly?  and do i need the program to do it or can i do it with evox?

you need to go into evoc on his system and do a backup in evox and then ftp the xbox and grab the backup folder in C: there will be a eeprom.bin in there then u flash ur xbox with that eeprom. Refer to the tutorials on how to flash the eeprom
