Title: Lags On Xbc But Not Xbl?!

I had XBC but it started lagging because of cable phone that we have.  I got XBL(free trial) and it doesnt lag much.  Why does one lag but not the other?

XBL is backed by MS, so you're playing on awesome bandwidth, awesome servers etc.

XBC works on the host's internet, so you'll lag depending on how good his connection is, for best on XBC check out the hosts with a lightening bolt, those have been tested by XBC operators and are really good connections

exactly what the muffin man said. also depending on your connection, others might lag when you host too many people or when their conenction is slower. or you might lag when others are hosting too many people. u just gotta find a good host. maybe ill see you on xbc sometime my name is {ZEUS}  peace.

to try amnd redue lag try to find a room wehere everyone has a lower ping or you can create a room of your own and set the max ping, and anyone that exceeds that will automatically be booted from the room.

First off, much of the "lag" on XBL is due to cheaters, and you won't get many games with them until after the trial is up.

haha, sorry but no, there is no different treatment for trial/full users. XBL does lag, and it is not created by cheaters, it's lag, you will always have lag no matter what internet game/program/app you use. Lag is just a term to describe a large ping ( or high delay in ms) World of Warcraft has lag, not because of cheaters, because it's lag, Halo has lag not because of cheaters but because it's over the internet, when you transmit data from like VA to even NC there's a delay there obviously and that's what creates the lag. XBL seems to have less of it because the games are optimized for online play, you don't notice you're lagging but everyone else can see you lagging.

Hahaha that's funny... difference between trial/full users. Yeah there is not such thing. 2 month free is the same thing as 12 month free or payed months. Plus XBL is hosted by other users too, so I don't know what is wrong with your connetion. Unless there is a server which is hosted by XBL/MS... which there aren't.
