I worked at EB, i know what you need to trade in an xbox, i should have clarified: if i trade it in, ill be trading it with one of my old ass monster xbox controllers.

Take it to Target. As long as the seals on the packing box looks all right they will take it back with no questions.
I knew a few people who stripped whole XBoxes and took back the cases and got their $300 back.

Courtesy means you READ THE DAMN THREAD. Nobody here should have to think FOR YOU. There is a ton of information available to those who bother to give an ounce of effort to discover it. We (myself included) have spent thousands of hours compiling it, and as a resource, X-S is as good as it gets for the scene.
I'm not trying to be mean, I'm DOING MY JOB. There's a Newbie Chat forum where plenty of people are willing to hold your hand and get you important information you might need, but there is absolutely NO EXCUSE for not even reading this thread to see what criteria for a 1.6 might match your own Xbox. YOU were the rude one, interrupting a technical thread to ask a lame question because you were too lazy to spend five minutes reading the pertinent information.
In short, you are like the dumbass driving 65 in the passing lane, with 20 cars all stacked up behind you, flashing their lights, honking their horns, oblivious to why they are so mad, and getting incensed at their attitude.

I'll probably get banned for this but here it goes. I know your a head moderator. So with all due respect, calling people stupid newbs and telling them to go away is very unprofessional and in my opinion not good for the scene. I understand your frustration but there are much better and professional ways of getting your point across. You might want to read a few of brahm2's posts. That's a moderator with alot of class.

Erm, I don't call all people stupid newbs.
If people are TOO STUPID to read a thread, then they are being discourteous. As I (and many others) have explained (seemingly) a thousand times here, 99.9% of our users find everything they need, scan important threads, and try to frame intelligent questions. That the ones who DON'T happen to be newbs, then I suppose that makes them stupid newbs. While you may think it lacks "class" to call a person out for what they have done (or in this case, have not done before acting), it happens to be very effective. Had I NOT done it, HSDEMONZ would have. Sometimes the dirtiest jobs fall on us, and to be honest, I'd prefer NOT to have to post messages like that.
There is a forum here at X-S for newbies, completely guilt free to ask any old question without fear of being yelled at. It's called "Newbie Chat" - and there's no anathema to posting there. Nobody will judge a poster there.
Here, however, we have real technical discussions. These messages have already cluttered it up too much, and I'll have to split the thread in the morning (after people have had a chance to read these messages).
There is a very good reason HSDEMONZ is an admin, and that I'm a Head Moderator here. There is an entire staff of people here who are very good reasons X-S is the top Xbox site in the world and a prime source of information for the scene. There is a reason why 99.9% of our users get everything they need, and never get "yelled at", reprimanded, suspended, or banned. Most people have good common sense.
Other users, however, just don't comprehend that. The odd slip, particularly by a newbie, is understandable, but not excusable. In most cases, getting "yelled at" - however classless you think it is - gets the point across and such users usually move on to become GREAT contributors here (I've seen it happen quite a bit). A smaller number, however, simply don't ever get it. They feel it's OK for new users to thread crap, multipost, or expect more experienced users to walk them, hand in hand, through the simplest of procedures because doing a little research is just beyond them; for them, my enforcement posts may offend. Too bad.
(As I said, sometime tomorrow I will be splitting these posts off to clean up the thread. It's a waste of my time, but one of the many thankless tasks I perform in YOUR service. Your welcome anyway)
