Personally, I think it is the gheyest thing ever to sell information "guides" like that on ebay. I think people that do it are shameless, and making money off of the ignorant. If someone wants to "help" people, they shouldnt be making money off of folks for showing them how to use xlink or any other tunneling app...
I think its disgraceful myself.

I have sold numerous guides already, and people have thanked me. Those people will tell their friends and friends will tell friends and I am not stopping them, I am not cramming this down their throat. If someone who doesnt know about it or doesnt know how to look for it on x-s wants to break down and pay me the $12.95 for me to hold their hand and walk em through it, to support them instead of them emailing the support team than all be it, I'm not tricking them or scamming them. I'm not promising gold and giving them bronze. And shit, I am bringing more people to the network to play on, I am supporting them, and I am spreading awareness so if XBConnect would rather have the bigger better community then by all means.

Nice analogy, but on the same token I saved that guy $37 from purchasing live and from dissapointing his kid, and if he is like a lot of non technical parents he probably likes the idea of being able to be walked through picture for picture and explained what exactly to do, what to look for and how to do it.
It's pretty easy to justify something when you can make up any scenario in the world to fit your opinion.
And as far as using the SDK, no I dont instruct them on how to use it because that would be illegal and too complicated. But I think you just admitted to illegal activity in a public forum so if I were you, and thank god I'm not, I would contact a mod and have this thread removed before MS see's it.

If the guy wants to sell something on eBay, let him do it. A professional scammer would be trying to sell digital cameras / laptops etc and get more money than $12.95. And it's not as if he won't send you the CD or whatever if you buy it.
Fair enough you can find this information for free, and fair enough I've written a fair bit of it on the XLink site for free. He's just selling a guide and I see plenty of computer guide books at the bookstore that retail for 2 - 3 times as much as what he sells this CD for, and I can find everything plus much much more on the Internet for free...
I do have one objection to the item. Perhaps make it implicitly clear that you are intending on playing games through their system-link option, and not XBox Live.
I remember buying the Flash 4.0 Bible ages ago. Worst $AU48 I've ever spent. I found out more stuff on my own and through the macromedia flash newsgroup than in the book itself. I gave it to my friend who was just getting started with DTP and he wanted to get into it and he loved the book. He wasn't prepared to go around hunting tutorials from all over the internet, sign up to the MM flash newsgroup adn sift through 30000+ posts to find what he wanted etc etc...
So, if you don't want it, don't buy it. As someone who's been scammed of $AU1200 for a laptop that never came, I think those sort of people should be shot.

And whose choice is that? I mean if anyone actually did want to make money you got people like you persecuting him or her and trying to take em out. What is it with you and capitalism? From what I hear the only reason TD didnt want to go with the sponsorship was because you wanted it to be ad free, and heaven forbid I wanted to break up the team and I was cool with it but now TD is saying I should be shot? You dont want to make money from what you do, thats your business. I and many other people would like to make money with what we do, whether it's selling XBConnect pro, information how to set up a system to play free online, selling a case mod on ebay or whatever. Sig is Sarcastic, what I said wasn't :-). Stealing other peoples intellectual property is nasty mean and should be serverly punished if there was no permission given. It was about him stealing your stuff to put into print and thats just wrong No ifs, ands, or buts.

I think the use of the word "market" means sell. At least in english it does.
Personally, from that strip of conversation there, it was pretty obvious what this dudes intentions were. I am going to chalk it up to inexperience with dealing with these type of folks, because its a genuine possiblity that that was what happened.
Myself, I could see it coming when he said "market" and offered money.
