Title: Mechassault, Location Of Downloaded Content?
Post by: zippy777 on May 05, 2003, 05:11:00 PM
Nevermind, I am an idiot!  Funny how you can know a ton about the mods, but not the built in interface that M$ put into the Xbox...I just booted to the normal dash went to the memory portion, and then deleted the content downloads for MechAssault.  Then I logged back on to live, re-downloaded the content, and tried to play it online, and it works fine this time!  I guess it has to do with downloaded content being tied to a specific EEPROM, and that is why after I upgraded the hard drive and reinstalled everything, the content became "invalid".  So, I guess if anything, this is just FYI!

Actually, not really. Its a CRC check. When transfering over NBA Inside Drive 2003 to my upgraded HD, I got the invalid file error too when loading Inside Drive's updated rosters by me (its not an actual file, the updated rosters are saved in the Xbox's cache)

Didnt you say you can take the rosters downloaded from live, and save them unmodified as a "custom" roster to use them on a different eeprom? Just checking

No, thats NBA2K3, not NBA Inside Drive 2003 as I was talking about
