Just use on-the-fly edit and change it to
NTSC, Region 1

Krazy, all you really need is EEPROM.bin for Configmagic. Edit the configmagic.ini to tell ConfigMagic where is the new EEPROM is at so it will update correctly

Yes, that is correct. All you need to use is the eeprom.bin file.

Your HD has to be unlocked for the update to occur, and then locked so you boot the original BIOS with the modchip off to use Xbox Live with the modchip undetected.

With the modchip off, the MS dash HAS to be xboxdash.xbe. It is best to get a flashable modchip with a BIOS that allows the MS dash to be xboxdash.xbe and EvolutionX to be something like evoxdash.xbe, which is the default boot file.

If you go to the MS dash with the modchip on, you will be fine. BUT! Do not access the Xbox Live tab. So, I recommend taking out the MS dash link in EvolutionX so you won't make any mistakes. But, you can't take out the links to Xbox Live in Live games you have. People delete certain files that pertain to Live on their backup as a precaution.
