hey, you'll probably live longer. Then again, you could walk out your door and get hit by a bus tomorrow, so I don't really worry about it. Lemme guess, you tried it once? I know a lot of people that fall into that category and say they don't care for it. It took me about three times before I really got it right (somehow the whole inhaling thing threw me- I wasn't doing it right, lol) and actually was high. I know the feeling when it hits you, I just don't personally see a need for it.
If you have to justify your usage, maybe you shouldn't use it then.
EDIT: On that note the only drug I'd consider again would be to grow salvia.

You expressed your opinion, I have expressed mine. Stating that my opinion was for the purpose of self justification is a cheap way to criticize a pro-anything stance while continuing to further your own argument.Sure you could attempt the previously mentioned methods of thought without the influence of marijuana, but the beauty of it lies in the fact that you do not have to deliberately try to reach that state while high. The level that these attempts can reach is peripheral at best, lacking both the immersion and true freedom from convention of thought that marijuana can provide. It would be like saying your imagination is as vivid and intact as it was when your were 5 years old, and you can enter that state of mind at any time. It simply is no longer possible. You can entertain similar fantastic thoughts or feelings, but that level of visualization and acceptance has been relegated to what your mind considers inane and illogical.
BTW, Mage, even though I disagree with you, I have much more respect for your opinions than the ramblings of MartialXboxArtist.
MXA, if you think that your success in life depends on absolute sobriety, you are in for quite a bit of frustration.

Talking about technology and harming yourself with drugs is two different thing. I rather have kids readon the technology that the Xbox is capable of then having them read about who and how many is getting HIGH..

And I believe it is up to the parents to regulate their children's internet access.
I doubt any parent would want to allow their pre-teen on this site regardless of drug talk or not.
Once a kid is in his teens, you shouldn't shelter them too much or you'll have a really naive kid ready to be exploited by the world.

Like I said, whatever I say is going to be countered by some bright thought that you guys come up with...think what you want to think, but I'm happy with my life and feel that had I induldged in drug usage I wouldn't be where I am today...Show me a 23 year old Network Admin for a Multi-million dallor healthcare provider, that makes $60k+ a year and owns their own home and two vehicles, that ALSO did alot of drugs during their youth; i.e. 15-23, and maybe I'll reconsider my thoughts, but until then, think what you want, but I'm staying out of this thread...

exactly, that was my point. You (msnyder) have used alcohol and not spiraled downward into failure as a result. Moderation is the key, as it is with anything in life. I am sorry about the situation that your family member is involved in. Drugs like heroine are a different animal all together. I have used marijuana many, many times in my life and never once thought about progressing to heroine. I hate to sound insensitive, but it is the error in judgement at fault, not entirely the drug itself. It seems easy and less painful to place blame on a thing, rather than a person, when ultimately it is up to the individual to determine what roads they travel down.

this place we call, "the bump". In our highschool (ill be there next year) there are at least 20 dealers minimum so you can imagine how many do the stuff.
