Title: 3 Shot Kill With Battle Rifle, Is This For Real

when we did team slayer at the mlg. i felt as though i got killed in 3 shots with br.

it could have been 2 guys firing at the same time though. but i played a lan game with freinds, and i think i got it a few times then.

is there a specific way to get it, or does it exist at all

You prolly got shot by a couple guys at once.  Just load up a split screen game and find out.  I thought it was about 4 or 5 head shots to take down a fully shielde guy.

Keep in mind that if your shields just got done recharging it doesn't take that many hits to take you out as starting with a fresh life.  I seem to think of it as there is still health in the game and after you you lose your shields you can lose a bit of the imaginary health and stay alive.  Then after your shields recharge you have to go a while without getting hit for a the health to recharge.  That could have been why you were killed with 3 shots.

Know what I'm saying?

I think you can kill someone with 3 shots with BR, i think it all depends, you have to be really close to them or something, otherwise if all are headshots from like 10 feet away or farther i think its 4, not fully sure on the 3 shots

3 shots with BR I do it all the time, I think it's carbine is 5 shots I usually use 5 or 6 but usually 6. Headshots of course.

plasma pistol and battle rifle trick is u have both of those guns, charge up pp shoot sum1, switch 2 br and shoot them. its 1 burst in the head, or 3 burst in the body i think.

3 head shots will not do it, unless the dude's shields have just recharged.

Yeah the plasma pistol and battle rifle combo is unstoppable, instant kill.

I can't imagine battle rifle killing with just 3 shots on its own though.

When you said the BR/COMBO is unbeatable, i gurrantee I can 3 shot you with BR or kil you with a carbine before you can get that br shot off.

the only way u can beat a pp/br combo with another single br or carbine would if the pp had 2 b charged. u can pull that off in a second depending on the distance.

if ur shields r at 100% then its 4 burst in the head, im pretty sure. but if ur shields arnt all the way like they have just recharged, 3 shots might do it.

I think that is because they shoot the plasma pistol then switch to the BR and start shooting before the plasma even gets to you.  On thier second burst (or whatever) you fall down rag doll style without knowing what hit you..... i hate that fuckin combo.

I like the PP-SMG combination. It's unbeatable (except unto snipers and rocket whores).

If you hate that PP-BR combination so much, why don't you try it (learn from your mistakes)?

a pp/smg cant beat a battle rifle alone. or a smg magnum. or a pp/magnum. and if u miss the plasma shot u should b dead.

i was in game me vs another guy. he used the bf.

2 kills he got were 3 shots only. the rest were 4 shots.

so it definately is possible. just hard.

You CAN die with 3 shots to your head with a BR, even with full shield.  It's been done to me before.  If you are close enough to the person, it will only take 3 bursts.

If you took damage and your shields just recharged, then it is possible for 3 shots to take you out.

If you think you got killed in 3 shots you didn't.  Most likely someone else got in a BR shot on you the same time the guy was shooting you.

Foe is correct it's 4 shots but if your really close like shotty range then yes it can be 3 hits. Because more of the bullets hit. Long ranger takes more shots becaue the bullet seperate before they hit.

we've tried it too.. it takes four.  unless you've been injured.  however I don't think we tried three in the back of the head (I think we did it all facing).  Maybe if you do it perfectly from behind?

and on another note with the BR talk.. the BR shouldn't be perfect accuracy from far away.  anyone notice sometimes people are getting perfect headshots from across the level? I don't get it.. we play xbconnect a lot and while most cheaters are obvious (and shitty) I think sometimes we've run into some people who did the slight modifications to make it a slightly unfair advantage.

another one is the people who can run around you in a circle while you're trying to aim at them.  Not like, within two feet, but more like 5-10 feet away.  they're running too damned fast.


I realize there's an infinite number of cheating possibilities but just thought I'd mention those since we've seen both a number of times and they're not mentioned that often..

Yes me an my friend switched the BR projectiles with SR bullets.  So when you shot, you fired 3 SR rounds.  It is an instant kill even with shields.

Thanks.  Not sure what you are asking, but the screen is from a PS2 hip pad controller I got for $25.  They are hard to find now.
