I've had quite a few problems with cowards on Head-to-Head games in XBL. They make a kill or two and get the rocket launcher or some other weapon and camp/hide. I once had a guy on Ascension spawn by the banshee and get in, get the rocket launcher, kill me ONCE, and then hide behind the building close to the Over-Shield. Since he is in the Banshee hovering there, he is impossible to kill or ever see...... since another Banshee won't respawn to shoot him down! There is NO POSSIBLE way to kill the dude with grenades, rocket launcher, etc while he is behind the building. That prick sat there for 5 minutes, along with telling me to just quit.

Anybody else have stories like this to tell?

Theres really no reason to play head to head. Stuff like that ALWAYS happens to me. There are spots to hide in nearly every level.

Edit: Head to head should be turned into 2v2. That would be cool.

yeah i cant stand the cheap bastards that are 'just building up my rank' though they never play a fair game so theyll never get better, which is what the rank is actually for... grrr vicious cycle...

Agreed.

I have yet to get on XBL for halo2 so I can only listen to everyones stories. After much debate I've decided to not be in any hurry for XBl because I see a lot of restructuring and general bullshit in its future. Now on XBC we have a hoot because the only rank you have is a "street rep" of sorts. Tons of TS 2V2,4V4,and lots of TS 2V4 or 3V5, sadly though the amount of skilled players with GOOD attitudes is fairly small.

If anyones interested in a hard time on XBc drop ToeNailz a line.

well they did take the banshee out of 1v1 on ascension (at least it wasnt in my latest 1v1 asc game)... radar works for both people though so thats not unfair...

It is when a guy is up on you and he just sits still. Then he knows when you are coming around the corner so he nads and shoots you, or uses the RL. Nobody has the time to crouch around the levels to go undetected.

well for head to head there is only one stage with the rocket and people generally take the portal and the elevator thing makes your position known... it people are hiding with the rocket there, they are bound to be in the red base... you really just need to know where people are likly to hide and toss a grenade in their nest to shake them up, then run in and finish them off...

i dont think ive ever lost a head to head on ascension...

Yeah that shit is lame.

The radar is fair tho, learn to use it as a weapon. All my friends bitch at lan parties bc they don't ever see me on radar... if you can't get the thumbstick thing down you might wanna try the crouch switch mod

It's slow but that's the price you pay for being invisible. I can't tell you how many times people I have beat down by sneaking behind them while they are trying to find me with the sniper rifle.

on that note, why is the person protected if theyre on a turret? ive snuck up behind them, meleed and blasted them with a shotgun which didnt take the guy out; i had to hit him again for him to die... should be single hit to the back takes him out... esp as they lay so much damage while on it...

i would like 2 c banshees taken out of every lvl entirly, atleast on live. i kinda like radar. btw. if u learn 2 use it, its pretty kool. plus campers cant use it cuz they r always in scope.

I really want the head to head swords game removed.... that shit is retarded. Why the hell is it that when I am traveling forward when lunging with it (yes, the middle of the attack when you can't contorl anything), the person will pull the trigger AFTER me and end up slicing and killing me?!?! I would think the lunge attack of the sword would overpower the regular standing still slice.

if u get the sword on any level and crouch around and hide with it, waiting for people to walk by, UR A PUSSY with no SKILL!, thats all that there is on head to head.
