Title: Petition For Halo 1.5

I just founf out there is a petition going for halo 1.5 to be made. If you dont know what that is, imagine halo 1 with live, DLC, and maybe new MP maps.

The fact that about 1/3 of the people I hear from say they want 1.5

EDIT: OR Maybe they DO like it, but would prefer 1.5(my case)

So what are you arguing about?

Who is to say this petition wont help convince bungie that 1.5 would be a good idea? I made this topic so that people who want halo 1.5 could sign a petition, not so that people could come in here and whine at me because they think halo 2 is better.  In like 5 minutes, I get some kid in here who starts his post with "shut up." Yeah, way to go, you have established yourself as an intelligent individual.

It's clearer than daylight that online petitions are worthless. Might as well make a poll asking the question. Both have the same effect.. something worthless to vote on. So, yes, speaking on online petitions and such, they are a ridiculous attempt to get attention. Not saying you made it or anything, but they are.

In regards to Halo 1.5.. I would probably buy, but Bungie should concentrate on the third, than listen to a few people complain and slow production time involved in the third one. Bungie loves their fans, but in every single game that comes out, there will be people who don't like it, and those people just need to move on.  <

God get over it people.  You aren't getting a Live Halo with the god-like pistol.  If you want to play it so, get Halo pc.

To be honest isnt Halo 2 really just a Halo 1.5.  I mean we got new maps new weapons and new graphics but mostly it seems as if bungie just concentrated on multiplayer play not single so much. dont get me wrong i do love the game as far as being on live but for the single player mode i just wasnt feelin it too much.  <

Halo PC was a disaster for many reasons.

And can I ask you what part of this concept is so hard to grasp? How am I "toturing" those who love halo 2? Can't you love both? I truly feel bad for you if you own an xbox and hate every game but halo 2.

this is kinda off topic but isnt rare also ms bitch as well? then why was donkey kongcountry 2 just released on the gba... isnt that a little weird. I mean a rare game with nintendo characters and ms didnt say anything? rare also has other titles on the way for the gba.... if rare can do that then why couldnt bungie ( not saying they should) ahh im confused .

i believe nintendo retained rights to put out games that were published by rare for them in the past... since it isnt really a new game, just ported over... so working on that logic, if bungie moves elsewhere or becomes its own independent firm, ms could release ports of halo for xbox 3 or whatever...

MS will not let Bungie put Halo on other consoles, Halo is XBOX's largest cash crop. If necessary, MS will buy out Bungie for millions and millions of dollars. Trust me, MS isn't going to let Halo slip out of their hands.

While i'm liking Halo 2 more and more each day; i hated it at first, halo 1.5 would be great, especially for us hardcore, elite halo fans; I'm getting tired of being killed by duel welding "spray and pray". I loved the stratagy of a single weapon and meleeing, in halo 1, but trying to do this even against a duel welding noob, it is almost pointless.  I'm not saying that there is no strategy in duel welding combinations, all i'm saying is any noob can hold down both triggers and kill some one quite easily who only has one weapon.  I find no satifaction in killing some one while duel welding two smgs.  Now duel welding a smg and pistol requires some strategy, and is more satisfying.  What I enjoy the most is, for example, having a long battle with the battle rifle (postol in halo 1) and gernades, and when we are both out of ammo, and trying to reload, the fight goes hand to hand, melee style.

2 SMGs+ holding both triggers = recoil

in english.  It takes *SOME* skill to kill someone w/ dual smgs, also if you are any decent distance from your attacker their smg is a joke.  There is ALOT of technique when it comes to halo 2.

Dual SMGs = no grenades.

If you dont like to be "noobed" then grenade someone.

You know what? I didn't care for alot of sequels but did I care? Ignore the fucking game if you do not like it. OK? That simple, god damn. I am getting sick and tired of people saying halo 2 sucks, well id like to see it compare to any other live game at all or even in that genre. If you don't like a game don't play it. If you don't like a movie, don't watch it. Quit your crying and get over it. Bungie MAY put out the old maps, keep in mind there is downloadable content meaning you can download stuff, meaning they can easily put a HALO CLASSIC weapons setting meaning you have all classic weapons and nothing new and put old maps on there maybe even updated. Bungie already stated they were going to be making a halo 2.5 or something along those lines just check www.bungie.net

A possible halo 2.5 for the xbox 2 was only mentioned in the OXM as a good probability, nothing more.  Bungie nor MS has commented on it.  OXM also predicted 2 yrs ago, that there would be a halo 1.5 before halo 2.  So, take it with a grain of salt.  It would be awsome, though.  We can only hope/wish.
