I don't know what happened, but one day I noticed that none of the map was colored and I could not start a gang war, no matter how many gang members I killed. I am playing this on xbox with cheat and trainers, shouldn't matter should it?

Dunno about cheats but once you get to a certain part in the game, they stop

Well I have just started the "stealing" cars missions from my garage, but it stoped a while ago.

You won't be fighting any more turf wars until the end of the game, long after you finish in San Fierro and actually wrap up the heist in Los Venturas.

Yeah pretty much explained, you start when Grove Street is on the rise when the colors first appear on the map. They re-appear when doing the final missions, they will be easier as your health should be increased by now and better weapons are available. I suggest armor and the M4, maybe some grenades in the third wave attack or shoot near by cars to blow up multiple balla's/vago's.

Or simply use a tank.
