topic, how would I do this, I want to make a server for school, since they blocked my Gmail (damn handy for sending files back and forth between school)

it can be done, but you'll need a Router, and it'll need 2 support some kind of forwarding, can't remeber witch, but I know that the Linksys WRT54G and WRT54GS support the feature

If you tell us how your Xbox is connected to the internet, I or someone else can help you with the details. Essentially though, if its connected directly to your modem, or through a hub or switch straight to the modem, you don't need to change anything. But if you are connected through a router you will need to forward port 21 to your Xbox, and it would be best if your Xbox had a static IP. If your xbox connects to your computer, and then out to the net, this gets a little more difficult. I am sure you can do it, I am just not the person to tell you.
