I've got a lot of free time recently, and I'm buying a second DC +8 games+ controller for $10. I've also found a portable amp+speakers, new, for $5 at a brick and mortar store, and I've got quite a few DC games. I know I would need a screen and battery packs, but how much do you think building one would cost outside of what I have? About $80-$100, maybe, with a ton of time on labor? I'm not sure what to make the case out of, I think wood would be cool as I don't think I'll be allowed (parents) to build the vacuum forming table that's around online everywhere (look simple enough to build).
So, how much time do you think I'll spend on something like this? What level of electronic expertise do you think is needed for something like this? Any resources on this kind of stuff?
