I recently went to my local thrift store and acquired an N64 with 2 controllers and all the connections needed...for 5 bucks. Nice! It's used, but works good.
I want to know what I can do to mod it, or if anyone has a PS1 i'll trade for it.
Thanks.

I'm gonna try to OC my black N64 anyways. I also plan on working on a more active cooling setup when doing this, since it's nothing more than a big ass heatsink (bigger and nastier than the GameCube's heatsink). It'd be nice to squeeze in a 40mm fan next to the expansion memory pack since that can get fairly hot as well.

its gonna die then ;)

Well, I only paid $20 for it, so it'd be no big loss...

i see :)

My guess is the Black N64s might survive with active cooling of the major components (CPU and GFX chip(s)) since all of them have nothing more than a big f'n heatsink. Maybe a low profile heatsink for a 1U rackmount system will help, plus a small fan and some ducting of sorts to help cool the expansion memory...
