Simply Put. About 10 million different things.

Start here. Go Here

Join their forum and download all the xbox (NTSC?) patches you want.

Then hit Xbins and get your self HaloCache EditorV.7(HCE) This program is the absolute best prog for xbox halo hacking. On Box that is.

Then use some common sense to put the pffs (after extraction) into their appropriate folder. Then stary experimenting.

Once you understand those concept you can download the NMP (get reddogs installer)
or get HMT3.5 and start making your own serious mods.
