Title: ***tutorial: Halonmp Installation For:***
Post by: 60_Megabyte_File on June 16, 2004, 02:16:00 PM
Awesome job on the tut! (+fav) Very much appreciated!

Just a question though, could I have individual copies of Halo on my HD, so I can have an Original Halo (for like, XBConnect or maybe casual play) and a Hacked Halo (with the new models and such) or will that not work?

Thanks!

Yes, you can have a copy of Halo, and a copy of Halo NMP. You only need to clear the cache drives of cache00X.map files before switching between playing the different versions.

Yes u can but u have to have a chip to play burned games, here is how to do it.

You will just mod everylev then burn the map cd then play it on your box, if u make like 4 cds there easy to play with at lan partys.

I keep getting an out of memory error every time I open up SparkEdit 3.02.  Does anyone know why this keeps happening?

Incase it happenes to anyone else I figured out what was happening.  I think it happened due to a bad patch of the .map file.  I uploaded a new one from the xbox and repatched and it seemed to work.

i thik it happens when you open too many maps in spark edit at once. everytime you save a compressed map go to file-close before you open a new one.

Well at first I thought that was the problem.  So I exited out of everything and tried again but no dice.  So I rebooted, and still nothing.  The only thing that fixed it was the new cache file.

Would I be able to add a new map like the "Wartorn Cave" that was just released?  If so, can someone elaborate?

I bet your using a PAL version of Halo ay. I had the same problem and found that NMP only works for NTSC versions.
