Title: Halo Power Up Idea Read Now

I was sitting in class day dreaming and thinking of The Matrix. I was thinking, is it possible to make a powerup in halo (BG) that will make everything in "bullet time" and add tracers to every round. Kinda like how it is in the Matrix. This could be for the person who got the powerup or for the whole map. It could possible make a very cool mod of some kind to have the whole game in bullet time. If you are a avid modder please give it a try. I think it would be pretty sweet. What do you guys think? any ideas?

I think it would be extremely hard, if even possible, for someone to pull off a mod like that.  Meaning it probably wouldn't be worth attempting.  But sure, it would be pretty cool.

Actually there is a power up similar to what you guys are talking about, it was left out of the gsme for some reason. It slows down objects and your opponents, it's pretty cool. Maybe you could just modify that and see how it goes. I forget what its called but believe me it's in there....

Yea, but there would have to be measures made to make it so its not completely god like. It would be perfect if only the person who got the power up has temp "bullet time" im shure if people can make new levels like the mod Complex and make mods like Advanced AI and Bridge Gultch im shure a few good moders could make it work.

i think we might already be halfway there

we can use the speed up power up but it would need some tweaking
we can just slow down the bullet
we can edit the contrails model

it'll just be hard to get everyone slowed down but smooth

it would probably get boring pretty quick if u were ALWAYS goin slow, and i think the only way u could do what u guys r talkin about is if u somehow made each gun stun both ppl and edit the bullet speed and contrails and whatnot.

i'd bet money its possible, heres y:
there is a powerup, as the others have mentioned, called 'DoubleSpeed'. it makes ppl walk 2 times as fast, and vehicles go half speed...if we can manipulate this powerup to reverse its effect, it will be basically done...as for tracers, not while a powerup is activated ;P

Damn.... I dont got a xbox no more sad.gif  My dog knocked the space hearter off the table and it caught my basement carpet on fire and the fucking fire fighters sprayed water and foam all over my basement and it fried my xbox... Im planning to get one ASAP... man does this suck sad.gif

ya my xbox has been out for 2 months.... im too lazy to fix... when it went out i had just started hacking halo (textures and projectile swapping... figuring out hex) and now id say i know a lot for not having a working xbox. i mean im no swamp fox  wink.gif  but hey, im not bad  biggrin.gif

I swapped mobo's and modchip and HDD over but when I boot the box it frags 3 times even though my D0/chip installation is perfect... everything is perfect so I have no idea wtf is with the new mobo... gah pice of shit sad.gif

This is extremely easy. All you have to do is edit a contrail to look like water, with small bands every space, and slow the bullet speed down to a ridiculous speed, and make the MC slower. If I have time, I'll get on it....

Here, someone please try this... This is for the Sniper Rifle...

I don't really have time to mess w/it

Under Projectile "Sniper Bullet" switch Initial Speed and Final Speed to 0.1111111 and save.

Then under the Bitmap "weapons\sniper rifle\bitmaps\sniper contrail"

switch with my file...

Also, if you find that you can't hit other people, slow down the MC in the Globals.

part of the objective is to make a powerup for bullet time, or at least not always in slow mo, but ur on the right track

if you tweeked the power up to speed up the person and slowed every one else down that would make it so your not running supper slow but how would you get it so the trails are there when the power up is active but not there othere wise

smile.gif about 2 more days worth of re-building and it will be brought back to life...Although there is over 50 feet of kynar (smaller than a single strand in the IDE cable) wire throught the xbox... it still pretty much works smile.gif One last snag to fix with the controller problem because the mother board connecter for port's 3&4 was damaged and had to be removed, ports 1&2 dont seem to work unless 3&4 are connected and that cant happen so i've gotta figure out some way to fix that or soldier wires from the pins on the little board to the motherboard but i dont really feel like doing that. Oh well a few more days and it should be working...well that is if the G/F lets me spend countless hours with soldering iron in hand when I probibly should be doing more important things like going to work and stuff so i can pay my bills, but oh well who needs bills anywaz... well im out for now because I need to catch some sleep, good luck with the Matrix/Bullet time mod. I'll catch up and start some hacking in a few days...peace
