yea easy easy easy, just basic hex. Just search for say WartHog, and then type in what you want.

i think theres a program for it somewhere, i forgot its name.... thats in the Default XBE. if i remeber right.

i found the text lines in the default.xbe, double kill triple kill...tried manually changing them. just adding Got Two in place of Double Kill. didn't work.

Yo I would like to know of this program too. I would love "owned" to replace any death text. Haha if you could change the audio that would be funny shit, but text program changer? Let's see it!

yea the guy that made that tutorial on Haloskins found HERE is really a sexy guy.... yea he is so sexy and cool, and that tutorial is awesome too.    

and as for the program.... ask CLuis, the maker   i got that proggy a looong time ago... but idk i lost it

Halo Xbe Editor or something
only works for NTSC, because PAL doesnt have the text in the xbe

you are right d3fault_dot_xbe, the tutorial is sexy. i'm going to give it a shot later. but another problem arises. it says it needs HMT v2. there is a link to it, but of course for me it's dead. i have v3, but it says only v2. if anyone has it, drop me it at my email: [email protected]. oh and i'm still looking for the halo xbe editor file...

if ur replacing text you must replace the text with the same amount of letters it first has. "double kill"=11chars could be "got 2 down."=chars. please correct me if i am wrong i havent hex halo yet.

i replaced double kill! with 2 bitches! works fine. and did running riot with crazy mofo! the only thing you can't do is go past the characters it has already. like running riot! = 13 characters. so i couldn't write 'crazy motherfucker!'

i got halo xbe hacker on xbins. it was either in the PC setion for game hacking or xbox for game hacking. don't remember which one, but it's there.

here is the tut for voice in halo: Voice

but it does require Halo Map Tools v2. i can't find v2 anywhere. i tried it with v3, but it seems that some things you need to do aren't available with v3.

np. i have gone through the default.xbe and the cache.map file BTWthis is for sidewinder. i cant find where to change the text that displays when you need to reload.need to change reload to whatever.

Hey do you find xbins a bit hard to use?

I am on mirc with FlashFXP open, and I did the search on the site, but Halo Map Tools cannot be found.

xbins is easy to use. except when you there, you can't just search for a file. it will only search from the directory names you have open. alot of it is common sense on xbins though. like a game hack will probably be in xbox/game hacking or a bfm bios would be in xbox/bios/bootable from media.

and that error your recieving, you have to install MS framework 1.1 on your system. i believe it's a free dl off ms.com.

and btw - how did you take a screenshot of that?

hehe or you just do Alt+PrtSc and then it only captures the current window
about your problem, I would try reinstalling the .net framework

I got the text to work flawlessly, but the Halo map tools I am having a bit of trouble the map file in Halo Map Tools. WHen I do, it says "File compressed, do you wish to decompress it?" so I click Yes, and then a window, "Not yet supported...Why is it in the menu then??? Good Question...." so I click Ok and it says file has been decompressed, and then I click ok and there is nothing there. How can I change the audio without it saying I cant is basically what I am asking.
