I got Master Chief flying now too  =)  Unforuntately when I posted my flying vehicles tutorial the other night, the traffic spike totally F***ed up my computer.  It crashed Apache, and now my cable modem won't even register that my computer is plugged in.  I don't know what the deal is, but something is completely wrecked in OS X so that I can't use the internet, although I can connect to things on my LAN just fine .  So last night I spent my time getting MC to fly, successfully.  I had him zipping across the stage in seconds, or going normal speed.  He can strafe mid-air also.  I haven't found the no hover code yet, and I have not found a way to get him to jump, but I will work on that also.  But since my computer is broken, and I can only get on the internet from work, I cannot post a tutorial yet.  Hopefully I can get the internet working tonight, but I will probably have to reload my OS because I have no clue what is wrong with it.  So if anyone is interested in making some good movies, flying MC makes for a great camera man!  Sorry again for the tease, but it's you guys that caused my comptuer to crash in the first place!  =)

PS
Flying in the vehicles is cooler then flying MC, but it's still pretty fun.

hehe, MC doesn't have physics.  It is very similar to what i did with the vehicles but the offsets are much different since it is Biped metadata instead of vehicle metadata.  If someone wants to post this in #halo, that would be cool since I cannot get on there.  Thanks.

I guess the lack of interest in this hack confirms my belief that flying vehicles are way cooler than a flying MC.  But I still think this hack will make movies MUCH MUCH cooler.  Boll will have to like this one.

Would there be a way to make only one of the players be able to fly?  So you could have a camera man, and have everyone else be normal.  Maybe change a scenery object into a Master Chief that can fly then bump character to get a camera man?

Yes!  I didn't think of this but it is entirely possible.  It would simply require the Bump hack to be activated.  Just make a seperate "camera man MC" that flys, insert it as scenary or whatever, and then bump it.  Great idea, UberJim!

It's not glitchy, I just haven't found the offsets for all of the flight related values.  But then again, I haven't found the offset for mid-air strafe for vehicles yet either (but I think I know where it is  =)

I think I could do all that.  I will work on this tonight, if you promise to make excellent movies with it.  =)

Probably what I will do is inject the Flood biped metadata and use that because that doesn't have a HUD.  Then maybe I can find a way to remove the model and collision model (EDIT: lol, if I remove the collision model, you couldn't bump it, so I won't do that) without crashing the game.

doesnt the gravity gun like not appear at all (or barely)?

dmauro, had a halo party last night with 8 flying tanks, i now have 7 guys that have paid me to mod their boxes.  you kick ass dude, seriously.

hehe, I really don't have too much time on my hands.  I just get home from my full time job and want to hack some Halo!  =)  Actually, I am always on the forums because things at work have been slow so I spend a lot of time on here during the day.

My internet is still messed up.  I am going to try reformatting and reinstalling everything today when I get home.  Then I will try to get detached camera and flying elites so Boll can make another beautiful movie.  Then I will work up the tutorial for you guys.  But the reformatting and reinstalling thing is definitely going to slow me down.

Yeah it would be cool if someone found a way to hack the stuff for gametypes because it would allow certain players to have different attributes.
