Title: Gta_vc.cap.final

So there is GTA_VC.CAP.Final in main directory of GTA VC xbox.
It's about 13 MB.

Does anybody know what is in this file? Because in PS2 and PC version there is no such file...
But in xbox version it is.

when I delete this file game crashes in the beginning of loading

your game should not crash when you delete this file, i have to delete this file every time i add a mod or map object to my vice city xbox version.

i beleive that the cap.final is almost a sort of cache dump, it is not really needed and it does not matter whether you delete it or not, perhaps you have deleted something else by accident? i would save anything important and re-copy your game into the xbox.

it crashes. really. people in some forums have the same problem. sad.gif

they launch game on xbox HDD, I try to launch it on xbox 360 from dvd-rw.

with this file all launches perfect, I already converted russian speech from the PC version.

but if i delete this file game crashes sad.gif i have no idea.

you actually do need the vc.cap file as XTecuterX73 said, the game stores misc data in there.  You can delete it if your making changes to a map and if your running off the hard drive the game will re-generate the file during loading.  The game can't do this off the disc though because the disc is a read only source.  You need to load the game once on a hdd so the file is built before burning the game onto a disc.
