well that confirms it! I'm not updating the car downloads anymore. I'm tired of people saying the cars dont work! Im the master! Of course they work!!
There the same files I use in my game! The car it replaces isnt that common or your in the wrong area of town. If anything You dont work!!
I'm done adding cars to the downloads page it seems pointless if half the people cant even figure out how 2 add them to there game Even though I did half the work for them. I'll still update the site if someone makes another tutorial or something..

I am new to this GTA hacking, but i have hacked halo before. I think i understand how to replace and edit all the files and stuff, but my question is does GTA have to be on your hard drive to mod it or can it be done like halo is from the cache files?

people dont bother with the handling and custom wheels. You cant get cars 2 work because you cant figure out how 2 properly copy and paste 2 lines. just replace the txd and dff. sure your car will have the old cars wheel and you wont have that cars handling but atleast it will be in the game.

i have totally re-backed up vc to my hdd.
i have added the two car files, i have deleted the final file and ive replaced the img files.
nothing, still it crashes when loading!
it gets past the pink line load screen, then goes black and wnt load

I got the XLR to work in the game with wheels and handling. But, that was when I did it for myself about 1 month ago. With your version it doesn't show up. I tried replacing both the Stallion and then the Infernus. I know what the hell I am doing and can easily copy/paste. Your version doesn't work on my Xbox and that is weird. The Diablo on your page works fine. I also had the same problem with editing the carcols.dat and the default.ide. The game won't even boot after editing those files. It's funny how you think we don't know what we are doing, when I already have 3 other cars working fine. One of them is the 2005 Mustang that I did on my own.
BTW, Alcotastic... I am using NTSC game and NTSC xbox.

I need to know how to convert and use player skins.
I thought I had it, but it turns out NO.
I just show up as ALL white. No face, no nothing. Just white.
I am wondering how to convert the dff files for the .img. I used the tuts here and had no problems with txd workshop. The tutorials said to use rwanalyzer to convert the dff files but when i grabbed a copy there was no xbox option like the tutorial had said. leaving me asking WTF? I have been modding xbox version since it came out but i have found nothing specific on how to change the dff's over to xbox.
My question it this: How do i convert the dff files to work on xbox?

you shouldnt have to.
the dff version is just a model file, the txd is what needs to be compressed for xbox to read it.
check out my tutorial, the only thing involving a DFF is how to get it into your .img file correctly, so the xbox can read it.

I tried the link you provided for rw analyzer 0.4 bets but it came back a dead link. I tried links from other sites but they too failed. I dont know if maybe his site is down or what. Would it be possible for you to host rw analyzer? Perhaps on Ninjahacker.net forums? it would be helping me and others out ALOT. The only copys i can find are 0.3.
