I have the Ultramix Song Pack 1-6, 7-12, 13-14, 25-26. Now Ultramix 1 will read Song Packs 1-6. Ultramix 2 with read Song Packs 7-12 but won't read Song Packs 1-6. Ultramix 3 will read Song Packs 13-14, 25-26 but won't read Song Packs 1-6, 7-12. I wanted to know what I need to Hex Edit with the Ultramix 2 & 3 default.xbe's to read the previous song packs. Thanks for any info!

Well I found a work around... you just need to copy the previous song packs to the game's tdata folder.
For DDR Ultramix/DS Unleashed 2. Just copy Song Packs 1-6 to the 4b4e0021 Folder, then rename them to the following.
Song Pack 1-6
-------------
4b4e001900000001 --> 4b4e002100000001
4b4e001900000003 --> 4b4e002100000002
4b4e001900000004 --> 4b4e002100000003
4b4e001900000005 --> 4b4e002100000004
4b4e001900000006 --> 4b4e002100000005
4b4e001900000007 --> 4b4e002100000006
For DDR Ultramix/DS Unleashed 3. Just copy Song Packs 1-6 & Song Packs 7-12 to the 4b4e0029 Folder, then rename them to the following.
Song Pack 1-6
-------------
4b4e001900000001 --> 4b4e002900000001
4b4e001900000003 --> 4b4e002900000002
4b4e001900000004 --> 4b4e002900000003
4b4e001900000005 --> 4b4e002900000004
4b4e001900000006 --> 4b4e002900000005
4b4e001900000007 --> 4b4e002900000006
Song Pack 7-12
--------------
4b4e002100000007 --> 4b4e002900000007
4b4e002100000008 --> 4b4e002900000008
4b4e002100000009 --> 4b4e002900000009
4b4e00210000000a --> 4b4e00290000000a
4b4e00210000000b --> 4b4e00290000000b
4b4e00210000000c --> 4b4e00290000000c
4b4e00210000001b --> Not Needed (Only used to unlock charaters in Ultramix/Unleashed 2)

Well I fixed the problem... so someone can delete this thread...
-
Lets keep it if there is someone else that wants to know how to get it working (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
-
I don't see why we should keep it.. the reason the previous song packs wouldn't load was because of a PC program I was using to rename the default.xbe.... I used XBMC to rename the default.xbe and all is fine with reading previous song packs...

amygrrl, you're a life saver! i was going crazy looking for the song packs and figuring out how to install them. now i have directions, and i'm using your torrent on that other site. thanks!

sorry for the double post, but is there any way to get other stepmania packs into ultramix 3? i'm specifically looking for "A". i know the dj amuro original is on ultramix 2, but i don't have that. i'm also looking for the bemaniruler hard version. after seeing iamchris4life's vid, i'm inspired to try it out (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Wait... Are you telling me you can import Stepmania Song Packs into DDR Ultramix 3???!!!?!?! Or is it just song packs from xbox live? Also, where can I get these packs??? Please help me, I'm a
DDR fanatic and I would LOVE to have more songs on my Ultramix 3. I have Stepmania on my Xbox it's just that stepmania is so much less acurate than DDR and the addition of "marvelous" steps really mess up your score. (For instance, I play Sakura on DDR Ultramix 3 and get an A but when I play it on Stepmania I get a C)

well i was more asking if you could upload stepmania packs to ddr. the file system is different though, the XBL content is all xbox file system files like the .xbx's, etc. i don't think you can put stepmania packs straight into the TDATA folder, that's what i was asking about in my last post (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
also i can't say where to get the XBL songpacks online, probably against the rules here. just do a little searching and you'll find it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
