Post by: UndercoverPunker on July 31, 2005, 02:12:00 AM
Werd... been a while... I was shocked that I didn't find any topics in here under audio... just shocked.

So what all do you have in your car sound system wise?  (Hopefully someone will surprise me)

Headunit: Blaupunkt San Francisco CD72
Crossover: Coustic XM6
Tweeters: Vifa 1" textile domes (If anyone really wants to know the model numbers I can give that too)
Mids: Adire Audio Extremis 6.5s
Tweeter Amp: Kicker KX200.2
Mid Amp: Kicker KX650.4
Subs: none needed
Special notes:   Mids are in ported fiberglass door pods and will be tuned somewhere near 45-48hz.

Let's see what everyone else is running!

not much, but enough to make it sound alright

panasonic cq-df783u
two 4in pioneer 2ways in the front doors
two 6in pioneer 2ways in the rear deck
two 10in pioneer subs in a custom box i built for another car(it's just been passed around to whatever my daily driver was at the time)

the subs are powered by a 400w rockford amp(when bridged, like it is)
the interior speakers are powered by a pioneer 50wX4

the deck plays mp3's and is sirrus ready, but i've got a myfi xm.

i'm not that happy with it, i want another eq(the other one was stolen, thanks alot) and i need to build a better sub box for this car

'84 Pontiac Fiero

Stock Head unit, tape(doesn't work, someone cut the plugs off)
Stock dash speakers
Stock headrest speakers

Sure it's not working right now, but when it will, I'm sure I could take any of you on in a sound off.

Stock stereo system cause I like to hear my music, not get a headache from the banging and thudding  wink.gif

Haha, I'm just messing around, system is stock though I'm going to be replacing all the speakers for some higher quality ones soon, no subs or woofers as the music I listen to doesnt have a whole lot of bass to it.

yeah, me too, but i like subs, mids and highs because i like to hear ALL of my music. it's amazing when you turn the sub off how the music just dies(even the stuff that doesn't "bump")

what kind of amp?  how did you set the gains?

93 Nissan Pickup (POS)

Head unit"  Alpine CDA-9816

Front Speakers:  Alpine Type R 6.5 inch Compontents with flush mounted tweats

No back speakers (pickup)

Rockford Fosgate ???? 4 channel bridged putting 100watts RMS to each speaker

2 Alpine MRD somethings 300 WATT mono block amps each pushing and Alpine Type R 10 inch sub.

Sounds great in a little cab, plus the two ALpine amps are mouted on the pull down seats in the back in stretch tubing so I can push them into the walls of the cab and you can't even see them.

It's a precision power powerclass amp (year 2000 model) The gain was cranked up a bit in most respects (Qbass boost, main gain, ect.) but certainly not maxed out.  Just enough to give it some power.  Either way, I don't care since the system is staying with the car and I plan on replacing it either this month or next month.

I'll trade you a fucked xbox for a fucked amp, lol, i dunno,  my financial situation has changed since this morning, for the worse.

On a side note, I should have an Alpine 9835 to replace both the H/u and xover listed above.

The best part of my setup = iPOD connection. I've got a Scosche inline FM transmitter/interrupter (disables antenna for best quality) in my 94 Explorer, since there is no official iPOD connection for that car, so that's the absolute best it can get (without upgrading the head unit of course). And in my 97 Accord I've got the Dension iCE>LINK, which connects to the CD changer port for 100% CD quality sound (provided the MP3s are encoded as such), and it also charges the iPOD. Never having to change a disc...ever again = the shit.

Jackhammer.... no thanks I'd rather have 14 MT's

The xbox is chipped... and hates life.  I havn't been into the xbox scene a whole lot in the last... year or so, so if it's fixable, I wouldn't know.

Trust me you will all laugh and point cuz i do all the time when i hear others talking about they're kick a$$ stereo system.

'93 Jeep Cherokee Sport

Head unit
1) Boss POS-6666 (sucks really bad but when it's used don't expect much)

Front
2) 5.25" Component Alpine (spr136a)

Back
2) 5.25 Legacy POS-6666 (such a great model)

Amplifer's
1) 4x400W max Walmart POS (yes pos, great stuff there)
1) 2x800 Legacy (would say pos but it works what can i say lol)

Sub
1) 10" MTX MXS1004
• 800 watts peak power
• 42Hz - 150Hz

I'm really have no clue when it comes to much to stereo i do know the basic's and a little bit more but not much. The only thing i complain about is the alpine speakers (the mids) are good but need to be ajusted they are set way too low of freq. And then i have like a static in my speakers even when the song isn't playing or its a fade it's really gay lol.

It's all need right now so i'm happy just thought i would post since it's an aight setup but yes could be much better.

Great systems though,
Degalle

1100w Inifinity 4 channel amp running:
1'' Infinity Kappa Perfect Tweeters
6.5'' Infinity Kappa Perfects
6x9 Infinity Kappas

250w Bazooka Amp powering:
10'' Inifity Kappa Sub

The sub ain't much to brag about, but with the 6x9s and the sub tweeked right, rock sounds great. Plenty of bass, even more treble.
