That code also works for the NTSC version.  A friend of mine applied it to his NTSC and he said it worked wink.gif .

Well he came to me complaining that Manhunt wouldn't display on his X2VGA, so I gave him the hex edit code I found on this thread (without informing him it's a PAL code, or else he wouldn't have tried it tongue.gif ).  He gave it a go using WinHex and he claims that it worked fine.

sounds rather suspect if ya ask me but ima try none the less i post my results wheni get home from work but wouldnt it be nice if prog scan would post here to confirm it?

i just tried it  and nope it dont work
and the funny ting is i ran a serch for the string and it didnt even find it that string dont exsit in the ntsc one

What hex editor did you use?

He used WinHex.

I don't have this game and I'm not planning on getting it since I already have it for PS2, so I can't really try it out myself.

Hmm... I don't see any reason for him to feed me bullsh!t about how he got the code to work on NTSC.

WinHex is not free, but you could DL a trial of it and use the search feature in it.  Keep in mind, it probably wouldn't allow you to make changes to the file since it's a trial.

Ok... I just went out and rented Manhunt to view the xbe file.  I can now confirm that it doesn't work with NTSC dry.gif .

Yeah a sticky with all the codes would be good.

I just tried the PAL version, and didn't notice any difference. What setup do I need? I just have a regular TV (can do PAL60 and NTSC), using the standard AV plugs (RCA)....do I need to get a hi-def pack and enable, set my xbox to NTSC and enable prog/hi def in the dash? And would this also require a HDTV?

Does this prog patch make it = 480p?

No, just a progressive scan one (I've got a Toshiba 28ZD26P).
