Title: Xbox Audio Codec Lets Me Hear Sounds On Pc
Post by: Heykrop on February 10, 2004, 05:23:00 PM
If you downloaded the XBOX ADPCM Codec from the tools section on the main page then you have all you need.   Here's a LINK to it.   Install it per the instructions. Once installed you should be able to select the XBOX ADPCM codec as the encoding choice from any audio encoding tools that support windows audio codecs.  I have used it to convert the WinXP startup sound to a xbox .wav file and replaced one of the original dash audio files with it and it works fine.  You may have to increase the master output level for the encoded file as the XBOX ADPCM codec seems to lower the audio level of the output a bit.
