Title: Is 1.37mb Zipped A Normal Size For Ppf Files?

Big gap between the 2 maps. I'll patch damnation now and see if all cheats work on this map.

Post by: Generallee02 on August 23, 2003, 11:22:00 AM: what's weird is the maps have the same exact hacks on them. Except for having diff. scenery turned into ghosts. and the size difference the maps are during gameplay. boardingaction does seem bigger.

So i went and did my last 2 maps, hangumhigh and wizard with the same cheats as well.

1 map's ppf unzipped is almost 7MB and the other is over 10MB.

I don't understand how i can have 3 of them big, and 1 very small, yet all have same cheats. I'm on 56k and i don't think i want to upload files that are gonna be that big, even if the size halves when i zip it.

So i tried using winrar with it's best compression and biggest rar is 3.27mb.
With a 2.5mb one and a 1.3mb one.

It's just weird how such a small map like wizard, with only 2 ghosts in it, can be so huge, the 3.27mb one rar'ed. Not sure if i'll upload these with my connection or not.

Post by: Generallee02 on August 24, 2003, 01:37:00 AM: I found out it was saying like thousands of files were changed from the original cache map. Don't see how that happened as i just changed the basic weapons and added vehicles. I narrowed it down and got the correct 19-23 that was the correct value and lower size to no more than 2k zipped.

Anyways, i finished all my 4 new maps. uploaded them to the haloskins ftp. You can get them from the site once they post it, get them off the ftp itself, or goto xbox-saves.com and get them there in the uploads section.
