EkszBox ForzaMod v1.1
Posted by XanTium | August 31 17:26 EST | News Category: Xbox

Kernel Master released a new version of EkszBox ForzaMod - a Forza Motorsport mod tool, which includes an Xbe CRC patcher.
What's new/fixed:
* Edited files quirk has been addressed: Loading xml/ini files which have had  their edits saved will now load the edited files instead of re-extracting & loading the originals.
* Faster ca2 load speed.
* Single click file load on the list.
* New gui (Thanks to TeknoJuce @ TeamXBMC).
* Button flickering has been eliminated.
* Various bug fixes.
* Better/Fixed error checking.
* No more xbe renaming required.
* 2 forza xbe versions are now supported (v1 & new support for v46).
* ForzaMod source code included.

Most of the info you need is in Read.txt.
The v1.0 thread has some nice tips too: http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=615888

It is already easy to use you just need to think about what you want to edit try changing these values for lv3 parts-engine tuning,fuel ignition,intercooler and the turbo values and see if u make more power.

Swapping rims from one vehicle to another is easy....

Look for something like this:

<WheelStyle>
         <P0 Name="Enzo" Price="0" MassDiff="0" File="BentleySpeed8"/>
      </WheelStyle>

at the bottom of the ToolData section of each car.

Then, find the rim you want from the car it is stock on, then copy and paste this information, IN PLACE OF the similar information for the car you want the wheels on.

Edit brake size and type
Edit Engine's Available for Swap
Edit Tire Size 495 should be widest possible, 22 should be largest wheel diameter possible.
Edit Stock Wheels

As for the custom rims... Someone is going to have to code for me. I cannot code as for my GUI skills suck and I just dont have the time. I have file specs for anyone who wants to code it. Just give me the credit for the specs is all I ask.

This will include custom menus too. But will still not be fully compatible and functional...

Well I may be able to help you with the GUI coding, depending on the complexity level/free time I have.
What were/are your plans for it exactly?

 huh.gif hmm i thought u cud do it i was really anticipating it oh well with the specs i guess they cud give u the credit as figuring out file specs isnt easy all the time mad.gif but how would we edit rims how would we get the custom rims in there you would have to edit the xbe i think depending on how ur gonna do it like the forzamod where it loads a new file if so tell me and ill see what i can do im not really good at coding either it just takes a lil time and determination thats all.

i can't really work on this anymoe since my xbox got stolen... Thats why i havent been on in ages...

well the .xbe would have to be edited again to overcome the crc on the file because it wont run modified code.

The graphics are a bitch since i have to find the resolution of them. Most of them are non-power of 2 images. and i dont see any resolution tables etc.

editing rims is a matter of editing graphics. real simple shit.

Modified menus are another possibility. but as far as i have looked you can only edit background images and loading screens. i dont know if you can reposition the bars and buttons but they are in there.

How does some1 steal an xbox from you? blink.gif anyway is there a way where we can just edit the rims and leave the menu alone i dont really see why we wud wanna edit the menu all i want is the rims i wonder if we can add more rims to it cuz that wud be kool. biggrin.gif

My xbox wasn't the only thing that got stolen. Plenty of other shit, my camera, all my shit in my safe. NOT THE SAFE, I still have that. Yes it was locked you homos. Dipshit should of used gloves or something. Got some really good fingerprints off it tongue.gif. But anyways they stole my monitor but that was no big deal cause I've been workin the god damn magnetism out of it for a couple weeks before that. Subs really warped the screen. LCD NOW! XD

But back on topic... ummm where were we? Oh yeah. You don't have to edit the menu. Its a possibility since they are contained in the same file. You cannot add anymore rims since there is no reference to them unless the file is directly referenced in the cars.ca2 file. Haven't looked yet. Anymore questions?

Hmm sounds like ur goin thru some pretty tough times, anyway well since we cant add more we can replace the existing one's though right cuz not all of them are good i would replace probably around 80% of the rims included in the game, will that be hard to do isnt that in megaxpr.ca2 or something?
Title: EkszBox ForzaMod v1.1
Post by: happykillmore on October 28, 2007, 09:17:00 PM
Yes you would be able to replace existing ones for sure without a doubt in my mind. Plus the typical person never really likes any more the 10-15% of the rims in the game anyways. So what would be the point of adding more?
