I searched everywhere and I don't see anything on how to defragment the Xbox HD files.
I think the reason that it takes several minutes to update a race scoreboard is that the Hard drive files are fragmented.
Does anyone have any information on how to dragment the Hard drive like we can do using Norton or Windows?
Thanks, Tom Phillips

The one sure fire way to defragment the Xbox HDD is to back everything up, format the drive, then put everything back on.
After doing that, Halo 2 was able to do a fresh cache to the HDD in 15 seconds less than before the defragment, just to put it into perspective.
