I have the latest version of xboyadvance installed... and I also have a relax share set up.
I am able to see the rom files from the share just fine at the rom selection screen.
When I select them, the first time I get a configuration screen, then after that it just flashes "loading" quickly and kicks me back to the rom selection screen.
the name of the share is "GBA" without the quotes.
and in the .ini file, I have this
rlxshare=GBA@[my PC IP is here]:[my port number is here]
of course I really did put my info there... I just didn't want to post it where everyone could see it...
here is what it says in the debug window of relax
[my xbox IP is here] 01/16/2007 19:22 2 Incomming connection from [my xbox IP is here]
[my xbox IP is here] 01/16/2007 19:22 1 Security passed...

[my xbox IP is here] 01/16/2007 19:22 1 Command gotten : OPEN,GBA\MinishCap
[my xbox IP is here] 01/16/2007 19:22 1 Opening file :GBA\MinishCap
[my xbox IP is here] 01/16/2007 19:22 1 File not found
[my xbox IP is here] 01/16/2007 19:22 0 End of it all
connection lost 01/16/2007 19:22 0 Disconnected
why is the file not found?
I tried both zipped and upcompressed .gba files.
What should I try next?

Loading roms off of the xbox hdd works fine...
Did I post this in the wrong section?
If I did, would someone please move this thread to it's proper place?

This is certainly the right forum-just very few people do much streaming.
Have you tried relax with any other emulator? I haven't done relax with GBA before, but I know it works on every other emulator that I've tried it with (I wrote the tutorial)
IIRC, I've used it on the 2600, genesis, NES, intellivision and playstation, if not more.
So it would be best perhaps to test with another emulator that we know works, just to remove the variable that the emulator itself might be broken. (doubtful)
My guess is perhaps it's something with your share in relax. If I get a moment, I'll grab the debug output for what it's supposed to look like, because the file open section in your debug output looks kinda weird, but I honestly don't remember what it should look like.

Thanks.
I'll try another emulator when I get the chance...
