On a softmod using FBL and either nkpatcher or IND-BIOS 5001, xboyadvance v20 and v19 refuse to run. I'm not sure if I ever did get v20 to run, but I believe I did; v17 is the last confirmed to run.
On selecting the xbe from UnleashX, XBMC, or MXM, it simply reboots. I've deleted the config files (two .ini files, one for the skin and one for xboyadvance), deleted the program and reinstaled fresh, but same behavior.
It goes a little like this: select the xbe, things go black a second, xbox reboots.
A couple hundred megs free, at least, on all drives. xboyadvance is on the F: drive, three directories deep, no spaces in the names.
Any ideas?

try downloading it again, and go ahead and get rid of all ini files and saves before you put it on and try to run it again for good measure

Yeah, I've tried that a few times now, gradually removing more and more of what xboyadvance might have been accessing. I got the two .ini files (which haven't been recreated, which may mean xboyadvance isn't at all loading), the saves/screenshots, and all the program files.
I didn't see anything in tdata/udata related to xboyadvance, or anything on the cache partitions (z/x/y).
Am I missing anything?

I've confirmed that v17 does still run, no problems. v20, v19 refuse to run. Haven't tried v18.
Only lead I can find in the changelogs is the moving of savefiles from one common directory to seperate directories for each game. So maybe try putting some saves back, but in the new format?
(All sorts of reasons why that really shouldn't work, but it might lead to something else somehow . . . )

I've tried the new batch of xport emulators, and they all do this, too.

Fixed: turns out it was anything added after a certain date. Had to back up TDATA and UDATA, delete TDATA, UDTATA, and CACHE, run one game, then replace TDATA and UDATA.
Other symptoms include not being able to add folders/directories to TDATA/UDATA manually.
