Let me be the first to give you credit for the hard work you've done with this, and all your other emulators. Keep up the fantastic work!

Ah, bliss. This reminds me of the good ol' days here, when there was many an update to emulators old and new. Love it! Keep up the fantastic work.

BTW, any chance the "Reset Rom" option be added to all emus? (Not sure if this is already part of the GUI) Thanks.

That function is part of the medna series of emulators.  All x-port did is "connect" it to his interface.  So unless a feature is supported by the core emulator you will not see it.  Although it would be kinda cool to have.

I'm very glad to see that Xport is still updating the emulators.

Thanks for sharing the link to the NBA Jam 32x TE patch, I wonder how I missed the discussion about it (I played NBA Jam today actually).

Anyway, tried this version of the emu out today, works great. Hoping to see some more updates from Xport!

I'm using all default settings with this version, as well as version 16.  My Sega CD iso's will only run on version 16.  They didn't work on v17-20, either.  Any ideas?

"They didn't work" means what exactly?  The emulator freezes ; the game plays, but plays incorrectly ; you only get the sega cd intro screen and then you get thrown to the cd menu ; something else.

Are you launching the game via the ISO or the CUE sheet?  Are the files on your HD, your R drive, your S drive, your RLX drive, or your SMB drive?

If you're launching the game via a CUE sheet, post the contents of it.

I have a possible bug report.  It is about the cheats part of the emulator.

Anyways, I was playing a game, and needed lots of gold to buy something.  So I found the address for the gold, and set it to FFFF which should give me 65535 gold.  This was not the case, It only gave me FF or 255.  I tried patching on a PC emulator, and the patch worked, I received 65535 gold.

Hopefully this is enough for you to go on.  Thanks a ton for all the emulators you port!

No, this's because the code you found, was a 8bit code (Codes with Addresses that starts with 30), And the code you've described FFFF will only work with a 16 bit code. To make the code into a 16 bit code, Change the 3 to a 8.

This sounds like my problem using V21. I'm using a real Lunar 1 and 2 segacd disc. When I use the Launch disc option it loads up the segacd bios but just sits there. doesn't even get to the point where you can press start to get into the real game. Just to make sure I tried it out with Xenesis and they work fine. I'm thinking it may be the bios it tries to use. Is there a way to specify another bios file?

32X Nba Jam TE : Nope no way around that problem, the game also crashes if you leave the intro playing for a couple minutes.

Genesis NBA Jam TE : you are using a wrong romdump, i know cause i have a complete goodgen collection,
and one of the NBA Jam TE roms just doesnt start..
the other rom works perfectly though.

This has probably been asked a million times before, but does the latest version support J-Cart? More specifically, is it possible to play the superlative Micro Machines '96 four-player?

Can't seem to get rise of the dragon to work. It seems to lock up when switching locations, or any time you get arrested. I'm wondering if Making a cue sheet, or burning it would work.

if you bothered to read the thread you'd have noticed I have already asked this question (since it was a requested feature), and the answer is no. It's not in the gens source so it's not in neogenesis either. Shame, but that's how it is.

I am trying to make a dvd+r disc of bin+cues... but some of my files are mdf+mds... and they don't seem to run.

Anyway to convert mdf to bin cue or do I have to actually burn the files?

I'd just burn it myself... conversions don't always work right.

Sorry, I forgot I made this post...I was also pretty vague.  I tried launching both the ISO and the CUE file, which are located on a relax share on my computer.  When I select the ISO file, it brings up a CD player interface, as if I were trying to play a music CD.  I guess it's not recognizing the file as being a game file, but as I said, the same ISO file runs 100% in the earlier version.  Launching the CUE file does nothing, kinda like I'm trying to run any random, unsupported file type.  Nothing happens, no lock up or anything.  Even though I'm not really trying to launch the CUE sheet, here's the contents of that:

mount the mdf as a virtual drive with Alcohol120 and then rip to a bin/cue

Anyone bored and/or skilled enough to bother checking in to whether it'd be possible to hex-edit NeoGenesis v21's .XBE to load ROMs larger than 4 megabytes, to allow for certain hacked ROMs? :/

(Well, mainly for Kabal_MK's scary Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 hack :P)

Don't run the cue, run the ISO.  As long as you have your files named correctly (and it appears you do) you can simply load the ISO and the game will play fine, complete with music.

[edit] It appears I answered a month old question... oh well.

You could ask Kabal for the changed Gens sourcecode, maybe xport can then implement the changes in a special setting or something.

some of them speak english so i'm sure they could help you.

Looks like Kabal got himself a website, very nice.

It also looks like the only thing modified to gens is indeed removing the 4mb limit,
i hope xport can implement this into NeoGenesis, this is one hack that should be played on the screen.

I've been using NeoGenesis since v16..   Since I've started using it, I've noticed that the "Fast Blur" feature has never worked.

I'm not sure if it works on a standard TV or not, but on an HDTV at 720p, enabling Fast Blur does nothing.  I know that most people don't like this feature because it does exactly what it says (blurs the picture) but it was a feature that the Genesis supported.  Infact, it was the only way to do transparency effects on the system (such as Sonic's shield in sonic 1 being transparent instead of being a white checkerboard pattern)

I've been waiting version after version for this to be fixed.  If there is any development still being done on this emulator, I would love it if someone looked into the problem.

I know it's been asked before, but I'd like to add my voice.....

Is there any possible way to add 7zip support to NeoGenesis? I've got an entire GoodMerge'd collection, which is essentially useless as-is due to lack of 7zip support. I have to extract specific roms, then zip them up as a new file, in order to play them.

I would be very grateful if this could happen. Much thanks in advance!

Why not just unzip them all at once with 7zip and then use the renaming faq to quickly rename them all to xbox compatible filenames and zip them up?
