-Added support for video previews. Video previews must be in xmv format
and placed in the Videos folder. Users running at 1080i need to adjust
the font for the game select screen to the following:
Game Select Settings
Max Text Width: 220
Number of Lines: 10
Font Size: 20
Line Height: 32
The Xbox does not have enough CPU power to render several true type
fonts at 1080i and update the video preview. This does not apply to
480i/p or 720p.

nice, gonna get neogenesis. Looking forward to mednafenx-nes

and me without my xbox. poor play, sir. poor play.
thx, man. i'll try them out tomorrow.

Any chance getting the previews, screenshots, and saves streamable in the xport emulators?
-
3 updates! Woohoo! Thank you a lot!
-
Don't get too comfortable with Medna-Lynx at some point in the future I'll be working with it.

Actually it may be a month or two anyways.
Interesting about the 1080i thing. I'll have to move my xbox over to the HDTV and try the ADAMX previews and see how they do.

Atari Lynx Compatibility & Video Checklist
Only need 14 more videos if somebody wants to help out. Only 3 bad games as far as I can tell. I've got 69 videos waiting to be uploaded when people help me finish the collection.

Here's a video teaser of what you'll get when you help me out.
Atari Lynx (A-B)
This emu looks awesome with these previews NES. Thanks man.

Is there any chance of seeing these awesome emus ported to the wii?
-
Thanks nes you are awesome.

Sweet. Nice to see updates on Neogenesis and MednafenX-PCE. Is the video preview the only thing new? has the bug with rewind in neogenesis been fixed? If I remember correctly, the last version from Xport caused games to lockup if using the rewind feature. I'm not sure if it also happens with MednafenX-PCE but I think it also does.

Hey resurrectionX. I meant to mention. If I get a chance I'll check on those Lynx previews. I woulda done it earlier but I wasted my time converting/renaming all the colecovision previews I had yesterday.

Cool madmab,
They're nice. I have most of them, but need help getting the full set. Figured I'd throw a teaser out there to help get some support finishing the collection. Only 14 videos for games that have been confirmed as existing. I have a list on my spreadsheet of games that theoretically exist, but I haven't been able to find them too.
When I get the missing vids made, I'll release the full video pack and artwork pack. Hopefully we have video and Artwork previews on XPORT emus by that time. It looks sweet as hell on Zsnesxbox now.

I'd love it if you could make those missing videos and upload them to Megaupload man. I'll wrap up the artwork then and upload the entire pack with the datfile when' you're done. The dumps for working versions to test would be great too, but probably not appropriate to talk about any further here.
Don't worry about converting or anything. The .AVI file is fine and I'll take it from there.
Thanks for helping again.

Hi NES,
I was wondering if you were planning on making a dual video emu for the 3 XPORT emus you released like you did for Zsnesxbox. I'm in the middle of compliling a full set of videos and artwork and it would sure make my work a lot easier.
Let me know. Thanks,
~Rx

EDIT: I don't know if this helps at all, but a good place for the Genesis one in the menu options would be "Configuration\Video/Skin Configuration\Configure Skin\Game Select Menu Settings\Background Settings\Video Preview Size/Position"
That's where "Screenshot Size/Position" is already.
Curious thing is, under the "Configuration\Video/Skin Configuration\Configure Skin\All Other Menu Settings\Background Settings\" there is another "Screenshot Size/Position" and when you choose it, the window starts in a different position than the Screenshot position does in the place mentioned above. Perhaps that can be capitalized on. Didn't move the screenshot position for me at all when I moved it.
Thanks,
~Rx

Hopefully we get something soon. I have about 700 Genesis vids and I'm working on the artwork packs right now. I haven't forgotten about the SNES, just waiting for some people to finish the last few vids before releasing it.
I don't know what the video settings should be man. I know that whatever they were for the SNES worked fine for me.

Not sure what you mean Sotu. nes already added the video preview and it works just fine for me. Are you trying to get both previews to display at the same time?
I just put the videos in the videos folder in the emulator and they worked fine. I didn't have to mess with the size at all. You did remember to convert them to .XMV first, right?
-
What's the good word on dual preview progress in XPORT emus? It's not going to help me with the artwork much now since it's almost done on the Genesis, but that means it's almost ready to be exploited when it's made.
-
Just finished Genesis. Here's the results...
Videos made for working roms: 683
US-Europe-English videos needed: 107
Prototype-Unlicensed videos needed: 17
Untranslated Gems videos needed: 31
That means that 82% of the video previews are done now. All of the artwork is complete for Genesis too.
Check out the compatibility list if you want to help.
On to the CD and 32x now....

Not that it's really a bug, but I figured I'd mention that the NeoGenesis emulator handles the videos for the Sega CD games kinda funny. When you highlight the folder that the game is in, it shows the picture previews, but when you highlight the iso/bin itself it shows the video. This isn't really a problem though since if you add the iso/bin to favorites it will show the video.
Just kinda curious to see if this brings up any problems with the dual previews in the future.
