Title: Xbox Dvd Drive

Hello, I was wondering why the XBMC cant or has a hard time reading DVD DL .  I have avi files on it, and half (first layer DVD) reads fine but when it tries to read the second half of the avi files (second layer DVD) it freezes or just wont play.  Using XBMC.

Is it the XBMC program or the DVD Drive? I think my build is 2006 Sept 29th
Have they resolved this issue in newer builds?

I couldn't say what the problem is, it may be an aged DVD drive, or it might be your XBMC version.  If you're right about the verion date then I'd highly recommend upgrading to a newer build, as to my memory that would still be an original XBMC, not XBMC 2, and many features have been added and improved since then either way.
