Can XBMC Play Ripped / Converted HD-DVD / Blu-Ray Media?
I have been looking around at Standalone HD-DVD / Blu-Ray Players but then noticed for the same price I can get either an XBOX 360 or PS3 that I can then use to stream media from my PC via the console to my TV.
Reading further I have read that depending on which console you use you have to convert the media to a specific format so it will play the HD media.
So Then I thought, well I currently have an XBOX (Modified / Chipped) with a 400GB HDD with XBMC (xbox media center) & XBMP (xbox media player) Loaded on, Which I used to use to play XVID / DIVX & DVD Movies which I had loaded onto the HDD.
So My Question Is.......
If My PC can stream the content via an XBOX 360 / PS3 then a (Modified / Chipped) XBOX must be able to play the HD media directly via XBMC / XBMP if I put the media on the XBOX HDD? (Xbox directly connected to TV, Media on Xbox HDD)
Is This Correct??
If Yes...
What would be the best format to convert the HD-DVD / Blu-Ray Media to without losing quality?
"SURE" the xbox can play converted HD-dvd and Blue Ray Media.... Why don't you search more?

Bleh, can't really recommend this forum's search "feature". It won't search specific sections, member posts, and tends to crash.
google is always best I always say.
and ya, you basically can't get good results with HD content on the original xbox.
