Title: Xbmc Deleted All My Stuff!
Post by: Samy`D on December 18, 2007, 04:59:00 AM
I was FTPing some cartoons over to my HDD thru xbmc's built in FTP server, I come back half an hour later and half of them didnt tranfer.

Upon further inspection, my entire Video's folder on my F: is empty, along with the XMC program folder, and my Avalaunch folder.

Any idea how this happened?  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/uhh.gif)
Has it happened to anyone else?

Now when I try to FTP over more stuff (through any ftp server using different programs) it just fails transfer and says it can't open the file. weird.

My guess is you have a drive bigger than 250 gig or whatever the limit is and it isn't formatted with the split drives or 32k clusters. Once you get to a certain point, it will start to over write itself. XBMC didn't erase anything, I'm sure.

Do a search for large drives and 32k clusters.

heh I look like a douche now. And to think I used to keep up with the scene... I guess if everything is how you want it for so long you just kinda fall out of touch...

Cheers for the heads up.
